Minor League

Minor League (Coach Pitch) Parent/Player information

League                                              Minor League is a non-competitive “Coach Pitch” league focused on basic baseball fundamentals.  Minor League is for boys and girls age 6.

Location                                          All games/practices will be held on our surrounding Saint Michael/Albertville Baseball Fields.

Teams                                                There are no player evaluations at this level.  Teams of 6-10 players will be selected by the assigned Head Coaches at an Association ran Player Draft.

Equipment                           STMA Youth Baseball will provide a Hat, Jersey, bats and Helmet.  Players are to provide their own Glove and Cleats.  However, cleats are not required at this level.

Practice/Game Nights         Minors will meet Tuesday and Thursday nights at either 6:00 or 7:00 pm.   Allow approximately 1 hour for practices or games.    Parents are strongly encouraged to stay at the field during Baseball activities.

Season Length                           Minor League is a 7 week, 14 day scheduled league.  Weather permitting:  Minor League will tentatively start in early May and end in early July.

Coaches                                           We ALWAYS need coaches!!  Please contact your league coordinator if you are interested in coaching, or would like more information.

Weather/Rainouts                 In the event of rain, the league or coach will send out a cancelation notice VIA Sports Engine Chat.  The first two rain outs will not be made up….any rain outs after that will be rescheduled.  We try to wrap the season up before the 4th of July, but have the option to extend the season if needed due to weather.
