Parents of select travel teams,

We were informed yesterday by Community Education that they have made the decision to take down the Dome early this spring. The last day to use the Dome will be on 3/24.   We are communicating to you today because your dome practices on April 1st and/or April 3rd will be canceled due to the Dome being unavailable to us.  

We communicated this to your Head Coach last night and are working with them to find alternate options to replace those practices.   Your coach will communicate with you on any decisions made to replace those practices.  Unfortunately, if the weather does not cooperate our options are extremely limited.  We hope to be on the fields earlier than usual with our warmer than usual temperatures, but the decision to open fields is up to FYCC, the School District, the City of Albertville, and the City of St. Michael.   We are in constant communication with them in hopes to get those fields open for use in early April.

Finally, the invoices currently reflect the cost of the April practices.  We will calculate the cost savings and provide refunds to parents of those players effected.  There will be no impact to invoices right now and we still expect parents to pay those by April 1st.  However once we receive the refund from Community Education we will calculate the per player cost and provide refunds to families.  We cannot say how long this will take, but our expectation is that it may take up to mid-season before you see that refund.  It is a manual effort on our end to provide that refund so it will take some time to get that distributed as this effects 16 travel teams and over 190 players.

Again, we expect parents to complete the payment of the invoices by April 1st at the cost listed today.  Don’t forget that you can save some money by using Venmo to avoid the transaction fee by SportsEngine.  If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out to me at stmabaseball@outlook.com.
