League

Major League is a non-competitive “Coach & Player Pitch” league focused on intermediate baseball fundamentals.  Major League is for boys and girls ages 7 & 8.

Location

All games/practices will be held on our surrounding Saint Michael/Albertville Baseball Fields.

Teams

There are no player evaluations at this level.  Teams will be formed by a head coach draft.  Teams will be made up of 9 to 12 players per team. There will be NO “buddy” requests, apart from siblings who will be playing in the same league.

Equipment

STMA Youth baseball will provide a Hat, Jersey and Bats.  Players are to provide their own Helmets, Glove and Cleats.

Practice/Game Nights

Majors will meet Tuesday and Thursday nights at either 6:00, or 7:00 pm.  Allow 1 hour 15 minutes for practices, and 3 - 4 innings for games.  Parents are strongly encouraged to stay at the field during Baseball activities.

Season Length

Major League is an 8 week, 16 day scheduled league.  Weather permitting: League will tentatively start the first week in May and end in Mid July.  The week of 5/25 - 5/31 & 6/29 - 7/05 are off weeks.

Jamboree

There is NO end of the year Jamboree at this level.

We ALWAYS need coaches!!  Please contact your league coordinator if you are interested in coaching, or would like more information.

Weather/Rain outs

In the event of rain, the league or coach will send out a cancellation notice VIA Sports Engine Chat.  The first two rain outs will not be made up….any rain outs after that will be rescheduled.
